Deliverables
Visual identity
Packaging design
LOBO had built strong recognition and loyalty around its flagship apple cider. Introducing pear cider ‘Perry’ in its traditional form, created commercial opportunity, but also risk.
Without a clear framework, an extension outside the core product can feel disconnected from the brand that earned the trust in the first place.
PROBLEM
The brief was to grow the range beyond apple cider without breaking what was already working.
DECISION
No sub-brand. No visual restart. Instead, we put clear rules in place so the range could expand with confidence. The existing wolf character evolved to reflect the new product, carrying the story forward. Norwegian illustrator Bjørn Rune Lie brought a refined, contemporary approach to a traditional drink, without leaning on nostalgia.
OUTCOME
From the outside, Perry was immediately recognised as part of the LOBO range. Familiar, but clearly offering something new. Customers explored it as a natural next step from apple and the brand expanded without losing momentum or recognition.
